Family calendar, for homeschool families with teens

A shared family calendar everyone can actually see.

Co-op moved, practice moved, and only one of you knew. FreeTheFridge puts the whole family's week in one place, on every phone.

A family week in the FreeTheFridge app with a picnic, soccer practice, a dentist visit and piano, and a row of faces to filter by person.

Three calendars, one fridge, and nobody on the same page.

Mom's phone has co-op. Dad's has work. The teen's practice schedule is a photo in a group text. Somebody always finds out last.

How it works

How the family calendar works

1

Bring your calendar in

Copy in what's already in Google, Apple or Cozi, from a calendar link, a file or screenshots. It's a one-time copy; ongoing sync is coming next.

2

Add the rest

Co-op days, lessons, practice and work shifts. Set repeats like every other week or Tuesdays and Thursdays, and attach the flyer.

3

Everyone sees the week

One family week on every phone. Tap a face to see just one person's schedule.

Got a flyer or a schedule on paper?

With Plus, Snap the Fridge reads a photo of it and adds the dates for you. The family calendar itself is on the Free plan.

Focused on purpose

Three core features, done really well.

FreeTheFridge does chores, the family calendar and shopping lists, built for homeschool families with teens. If you need a fourth thing solved, like lesson plans, grades or budgeting, we're probably not your app, and that's okay.

Chill. It's handled.

The FreeTheFridge beta is open, and the first 100 families get a free year of Plus. Join and we'll send your family an invite.
